ANZAC assembly

On Wednesday the 13th of April, the whole school went to an Anzac assembly in the hall. The school were launching the book “Gladys goes to war.” The author and the illustrator of the book is, Glyn Harper, and Jenny Cooper. It was quite exciting because both the illustrator and the author were there. We were all wearing poppies on us to show that we will all remember those who died in the war. The main part of the book was talking about, the first women pilot . Everyone loved the book . Everyone in the hall was excited because we were going to be on the TV. Thanks to Glyn Harper and Jenny Cooper and all of the wonderful speakers.

Water Safety

Klacs Crew have been swimming at the Lido. There’s been tons of smiling faces; and splashing, of course! On our first week we did heaps of different kinds of strokes. On the second week we learnt life-saving skills. Everyone waiting brought something to do. Some people used empty milk bottles to help them float on their backs. Others tread water and used rope to pull each other out. And some used life jackets. We all had heaps of fun and we can’t wait to do it again next week!
