Life Education Bus

Today we visited the Life Education Bus. We learned mostly about how much fat, sugar and sodium are in the foods we eat with Tim (the Educator).  Tim has been going around Manawatu, teaching kids about what’s good for you and what isn’t.  In the end we sang a song with Harold the (puppet) giraffe about staying fit and healthy.

Did you know . . .

- that when the human intestine is laid out would be 7m long
- sneezes travel at the speed of 160mph
- your brain is so delicate that if you held it with your hand it would be exactly the same as holding a ripe avocado without the skin

Best Camp Ever

Recently KLACS Crew went to Sixtus Lodge and did all kinds of cool activities including horse riding, a burma trail, seeing glow worms and a tramp.  It was an awesome experience and I am sure everybody enjoyed it.  Thanks to all the parents that helped - you made this camp and epic adventure!
